Ryota KUWAKUBO

Media Artist. Born in 1971. After studying contemporary art and media art, he co-produced "BITMAN" with Maywa Denki in 1998 and started to release art works using electronics. He developed his original style called as "Device Art" by the artworks featuring themes include the relations between contrasting matters, such as analog and digital, human and machine, sender and receiver of information, and more. After releasing the installation "The Tenth Sentiment", he is embarking on the works that viewers weave their own internal experiences. His major works include "Video Bulb", "PLX", "Block Jam" (participated in the development at Sony CSL) and "Nicodama", among others.
